Dressed to impress

I Hope you are all well and feeling a little better than I have this past week.
I caught the dreaded lurgy, not the COVID one, but just a general cold/flu type bug. My whole family seem to of caught it and we think the little super spreader is probably my 14 month old nephew, Hugo. I am convinced babies at nursery are like cute, mini scientists, conjuring up the next illness they are going to spread far and wide.
Anyway I am starting to feel a little better and I really feel like I can't moan about being poorly when we are still in the midst of a global pandemic, Perspective and all that.
OK so there is something I have been ridiculously excited to tell you about! I think I may of made hints about it a month or two ago and I think I mentioned back in January that it was something we had been working on since the end of 2019 (it was delayed due to Covid-19)
But anyway here it is....
We now have beautiful packaging for all of our brushes! OK so I know for most people this will sound like the biggest anti climax, but hear me out!
When I first started on this makeup brush journey 5 years ago we couldn't afford nice packaging, infact we couldn't afford any packaging, heck, we could barely afford production of the brushes themselves. All of our money went into the development and production. We had no outside investment, no bank loans, nothing!
With the expensive cost of the specific brush fibres we wanted and with us only being able to order such small quantities of the materials at a time, the costs were just too high and left absolutely nothing for packaging. In all honesty, they actually left no profit at all.
The packaging or lack there of, is something that has pained me since the day we launched them. The brushes were like a baby to me that we were releasing into the world and I wanted them to go out beautifully dressed but instead we had to send them out practically naked.
Over the last few years we have grown faster than I ever imagined possible and at the end of 2019 were finally in a position to be able to put them in lovely boxes. We chose boxes instead of plastic because I really want to do what we can to reduce our plastic footprint on the planet.
So January 2020 I started working on the box design with a manufacturer and we were just about to start production when COVID-19 landed on planet earth like the giant meteorite it was.
Plans for production came to an immediate halt.
Well anyway here we are in September 2021 and as I write this our next brush stock order is being packaged up into their very own little boxes.
I am so excited for them to finish packaging and arrive at our warehouse.
It feels like the vision I originally had for these brushes is finally coming to fruition. But more importantly I am excited because it means when they drop through your letter boxes they will be beautifully packaged the way they always should of been AND it also means they will now make the most beautiful gifts for friends and loved ones.
I just want to say the biggest thank you to all of you for your incredible support and sticking by us even though we couldn't even afford packaging for our products. Your support means the absolute world to me and the growth of this little brand is thanks to each and every one of you that order from us, tell your friends and family about us, leave your beautiful reviews and comments and just your unwavering custom and friendship.

Our new packaged brushes will be in stock early October....Hopefully before we run out of our current stock 🤞
