How To Update Your Payment Card On ShopPay.

Customer Subscription Login

Here at COABE we offer subscription options on select items in our store to make your life easier with the convenience of not having to remember or take the time to reorder your favourite products.


Additionally, to thank you for your loyal custom, we offer discounts for subscribing giving you even more value for money!

You have full control over your subscriptions to pause, cancel or modify at any moment you so wish.


For your convenience, subscriptions are automatically renewed according to your selected delivery interval and the products will be automatically delivered after each successful renewal.


For example, if you started a monthly subscription, then the system will automatically charge your selected payment method each month and you will get the products to your doorstep each month, without the need to place the order by yourself!

Can I pause or cancel a subscription?

Yes, of course. You can pause or cancel a subscription any time you want in the customer portal, as seen in the screenshot below.


The customer portal can be accessed through the magic link you received in the email that was sent to you when you placed an initial subscription order in the shop. You can also access your subscriptions if you create an account in your shop.

How can I skip or reschedule a charge?

You can skip or reschedule the charge in the customer portal. Each scheduled delivery will have a Skip payment button next to it, which you can use to skip the charge. You can reschedule the charge by clicking on the Reschedule button next to the delivery date.

Can I add products to my subscription?

Of course. You can add products to your subscription in the customer portal. Just click on the Edit button in the products card and edit, remove or add products to your subscription.

What happens if the payment can't be processed?

If the subscription can't be renewed because a payment can't be processed you will receive an email with a link where you can safely update your payment method.

How To Update Your Payment Card On ShopPay.

When customers have tried to update their ShopPay payment method, they received the error message "We had trouble updating your payment info. Please try again." What to do?

This error message happens if customers remove their payment method from their ShopPay account and then try to add a new one. What you have to do is first add a new payment method to your ShopPay account and save it.


YOU NEED TO ADD A CARD BEFORE YOU DELETE YOUR CARD TO AVOID ERRORS WITH PAYMENTS ON YOUR ACCOUNT.

1.) Customer goes to edit their payment method on the ShopPay Payment Method edit screen

2.) They click the three dots on the right side of the card and then click the Red Trash icon (DON'T do this). For clarification, you must NOT click this, as it will prevent you from adding a payment method to your ShopPay account anymore. Instead, your customers should click the “Use a different card” button.

3.) They are then met with the error message "We had trouble updating your payment info. Please try again." and are unable to add their payment method anymore

Instead of this, what your customer SHOULD be doing, is clicking the “Use a different card” button and adding the card:

If your customers properly follow the instructions and update their payment method using the “Use a different card” button, then their payment method will be properly updated.
