Sorry It's Late

 Hi My Lovelies, 

Firstly I am sorry it's late.

I recorded a video before Christmas that I wanted to have edited and uploaded before the end of the year but unfortunately it just hasn't been possible.

As many of you know my mum was rushed in to hospital at the beginning of December for emergency open heart surgery, the surgery went well and she was recovering well in hospital.

Unfortunately she contracted Covid-19 whilst in the hospital and has been battling it since. She was discharged from the hospital too early, twice over the Christmas period and both times had to be rushed back in via ambulance.

We received the phone call that no one should get, the other day, the Doctor called us to inform us that she is extremely poorly due to Covid Pneumonia, the scarring on her lungs had deteriorated and she also has suspected sepsis due to the covid pneumonia. He told us to prepare ourselves for the worst as she may not pull through this.

It was one of the worst days of my life to date.

Since then so far she has been making tiny improvements and they have been able to lower her oxygen levels slightly so this is an improvement and we are all remaining really hopeful at the moment.

As you can probably imagine my mind hasn't been able to focus on anything at all and we have been kind of living from update to update daily for the last few weeks.  I haven't been able to get the end of year video uploaded like I planned but I didn't want to just not do anything because despite the bad to come out of 2020 we have also had some great things happen and we also have a lot to look forward to in 2021 so although it's late I wanted to do this (not so little) blog post instead.

Firstly I want to say the BIGGEST thank you to every single one of you. Your support of not only COABE as a brand but also me personally has been just incredible. From your supportive messages and emails, your advice and talking me through your similar experiences and what to expect, I honestly don't think I could of gotten through this year without you.

This brand has never been about me personally, to me, this brand is about all of us. If we can help you to increase your confidence even the slightest and help you realise how beautiful you are then I will be the happiest person on this planet. My sole purpose will be fulfilled so that really is the sole purpose of COABE.

Here are some of the things that happened in 2020, what we have learnt and what is to come!

2020 - What on earth happened....

We had a name change!

We changed the name back in January 2020 because we came up against some trademark issues with the previous name. It was not an easy decision to change the brand name as we weren't sure if anyone would know it was us and still the same great products etc. BUT I want to say a huge thank you to you all again for being so incredibly supportive and sticking with us through the shift. <3

We ran out of stock!


OK so 2020 we sold out of our Kabuki brushes multiple times, we were not prepared for the huge influx in orders when the first lockdown happened and it meant we sold out for around 2 months.

Again Thank you to everyone that was so patient with us and waited to place your orders once we re-stocked. We now have a much better handle on our stock levels and are working to make sure we remain stocked up on all your favourite products.

New Packaging got put on Hold

We as a brand are far from perfect, we are a tiny company that has grown unbelievably fast thanks to all of your support. We know there are areas we need to improve on, one of those is our packaging.

From the moment we started this company we knew the packaging we wanted but unfortunately when your starting out and the company isn't making any money yet it just isn't possible to have beautiful packaging.

At the beginning of the year, after the name change we were in a position to begin putting the new packaging in place, We had the designs done, we were ready to begin production etc. it was beautiful and environmentally friendly just as we had always wanted, and then....COVID-19 hit! and our packaging manufacturer was forced to stop production, design and everything. So our new packaging has been pushed back twice now due to lockdowns etc.

However we are now hopeful that we can have the new packaging ready for April this year which I am SUPER Excited for you all to see :)

The Best Customers! 

We have the best customers I could of ever wished for when starting this whole journey I am so lucky to have you all in my life. 2020 we served 30,000 of you beautiful women that have now switched to using our brushes! I could never of even dreamed of that when I first started this company a few years ago so again from the bottom of my heart thank you!

We Launched our online store & BLOG!

January 2020 we launched our store and blog, this was after listening to a lot of feedback from you all asking for a place to go for everything, all our products, discounts, tips and advice.

This has been one of the best things to come out of 2020 as it has made the everything much simpler and easier for you guys and I get to help out with videos and advice on anything you request all in one place.

Our Makeup remover pads launched last year and your response has been incredible, It makes me so happy to see your lovely comments and emails coming in and how much you love them <3
What's to come?

We have lots of new products that we are hoping to launch in 2021 global pandemic permitting.

We asked you what you wanted

At the end of last year we asked you what products you wanted from us the most and over 900 of you answered the survey! This was amazing because it gave us confirmation that what we were focussing on the right products for you.

We now have lots of new products lined up for 2021 which I am super excited about and we are expecting the first product to be ready in March and it is one I have been sooooooo excited for around 18 months! So this first launch can't happen quick enough for me.

I will be revealing more about that product in the next 8 weeks and I will also be starting to reveal more about the other upcoming products you asked for as we get closer to them launching.

Finally I just want to say a huge well done to every single one of you. 2020 was such a tough year for everyone to get through for so many reasons, whether it was because of how isolating it has been, how much we have missed family and friends, being in our houses 24/7, stress and pressures financially etc. But we have gotten through it and although we now enter in to a new lockdown, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully by March life will be finally getting back to normality for us all.

You have done amazing, take a step back from all the craziness and just look at everything you have overcome. You have made it through something you probably never imagined you would live through in your life time but you have done it, you have overcome all and any obstacles in your way and for that you should all be so incredibly proud of yourselves.

Well that's it from me right now. I will hopefully be getting back to my normal videos etc. later this week and I will also be doing some more live videos during this lockdown so we can all hangout together. <3
